Plus AI is an add-on for Google Slides and PowerPoint that brings AI-powered content generation and editing capabilities directly into the presentation tools professionals already use. Rather than requiring you to switch to a new standalone platform, it integrates seamlessly into your existing workflow—a core feature of the product that sets it apart from most competitors in this space.
The key feature is the ability to generate a complete presentation from a prompt or a document. You describe the topic, provide a rough outline, or upload a source file (PDF, Word document, plain text), and Plus AI builds a complete, structured slide deck in minutes. The output is a native Google Slides or PowerPoint file, fully editable just like any presentation you would have created manually. For users who regularly convert meeting notes, reports, or briefing documents into slides, this alone significantly reduces the time spent on routine deck creation.
The Remix tool handles the editing process. Once you have a draft, you can select any slide and ask Plus AI to reformat it: turn a text-heavy slide into a three-column layout, convert a list into a comparison table, or split a dense paragraph into a pros-and-cons format. This works on a per-slide basis rather than regenerating the entire deck, which provides much more granular control over the final result.
In addition to layout changes, Plus AI offers AI writing tools directly on each slide: rewrite, expand, summarize, adjust tone, or translate content into another language. A memory function lets you save context (your company name, target audience, typical tone of voice) so that the AI applies it consistently across every presentation you create. Saved prompt presets mean that for recurring formats like client proposals or weekly reports, you can generate content with a single click rather than re-entering instructions each time.
Custom branding is available on the Team plan and higher. You can customize fonts, colors, and your logo so that every presentation generated reflects your brand identity from the very first draft. On the Enterprise plan, the platform can integrate with your organization’s existing slide masters and template libraries, drawing from pre-approved images and icon sets.
For teams looking to further automate presentation creation, Plus AI released an API in late 2025, enabling slides to be generated programmatically via external triggers such as CRM workflows, Slack commands, or custom scripts. The platform also supports Plus Snapshots, a browser extension that captures live data from analytics dashboards or web apps and embeds it as automatically refreshing screenshots directly into slides.
Plus AI offers four plans, all of which include a 7-day free trial that provides access to both the Google Slides and PowerPoint integrations. Annual billing is significantly cheaper than month-to-month pricing.

1️⃣ If you are a freelancer or consultant:
Gamma is one of the best options for freelancers who create a lot of presentations but don’t necessarily use Google Slides or PowerPoint on a daily basis. Its block-based, document-like editor makes it easier to create visually polished presentations without any design skills, and it covers everything from client proposals to case studies. The trade-off is that Gamma operates within its own ecosystem, so if your clients expect an editable .pptx file, you’ll encounter some friction during the export process. For consultants whose work is primarily shared as links or PDFs, this is rarely an issue. PitchBob is another option worth considering for freelancers who regularly create pitch decks, particularly for business development or new client acquisition. It is more narrowly focused on pitch and proposal formats, with guided templates tailored to those specific use cases.
2️⃣ If you're a startup:
Gamma is once again a strong contender here, especially for early-stage teams that need to quickly produce investor decks, product updates, and internal presentations without a dedicated designer. Its collaborative features and rapid iteration process are well-suited to the pace of a startup. The block-based format also encourages narrative thinking, which tends to result in more compelling storytelling decks than traditional slide-by-slide tools. AhaSlides serves a different but complementary need: if your presentations are meant to be delivered interactively to an audience (team meetings, workshops, pitch events with Q&A), it adds polling, quizzes, and live engagement features that neither Plus AI nor Gamma offer. For startups that regularly hold all-hands meetings or demo days with live audience participation, it fills a gap that pure presentation generation tools don’t address.
3️⃣ If you are an SMB or a mid-sized company:
Google Slides, used natively with the collaborative features of the broader Workspace ecosystem, remains a sensible baseline for teams already using Google's infrastructure. At the SMB level, the focus is often less on AI-generated content and more on maintaining brand consistency across a large number of presentations created by different team members. Plus AI’s Team plan actually handles this well, but if budget is a concern, creating shared master templates within Google Slides natively is a viable alternative before committing to a paid AI add-on. For teams that produce a high volume of video-based presentations or training materials alongside traditional slides, Pitchy offers a different approach, combining slide design with video production tools. It is particularly relevant for internal communications teams, sales enablement, or marketing departments that need to convert presentation content into video formats without switching to a separate production tool.
Otherwise, these other software programs may also be a good alternative to Plus AI.
